Saint Augustine Art Community News & Events

This is your source for Art Community News and Events. The arts scene in St. Augustine is vibrant and active. St. Augustine is an eclectic, close knit art community. Our community features a large number of fine art galleries representing local, national and international artists. Browse through our member galleries posting of Art Community News and enjoy learning about their galleries and the artists they represent. See all types of art from professional oil paintings and sculptures to handmade crafts, jewelry, photography, oils, pastels, ceramics, wood, textiles, metal, and more that are available in their galleries. First Friday Artwalk is a monthly event sponsored by the Art Galleries of St. Augustine.

St. Augustine boasts a talented community of performance artists. There are music venues, theaters, orchestras, ballets, festivals and other events. Popular performers from all over the world come to St. Augustine’s Amphitheater. The community also hosts a series of renowned music gatherings and festivals each year and announcements can be found in the Art Community News section.

Festivals and other events are also covered in our art community news feed. Some of these events include the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival, Romanza Festival, Celtic Festival, St. Augustine Art and Craft Festival, Member Gallery Events and more. The Ancient City boasts dozens of annual festivals celebrating a variety of different cultures, music, food and art.

Local history is a large component of St. Augustine’s culture as well, and these heritage events include exciting live re-enactments, living history interpretations, celebratory parades and festivals. Our local art culture is comprised of a wide range of Music, Art, Theater, Food, History and a continuing string of events. We hope that Art Community News Feed from our Facebook Page will keep you informed and updated.

5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
The Art Galleries of Saint Augustine founded and sponsors the award-winning First Friday Art Walk event on the first Friday of every month. Galleries open their doors from 5-9 p.m., offering new art exhibits and lively receptions to the public. Start your FREE self-guided tour at any of the Art Galleries of Saint Augustine galleries. Most galleries are within close walking distance to each other; some are just a short ride away. Hop aboard the FREE Art Walk trains and trolleys that run throughout downtown.

Feast on great arts & eats and the sounds of live music—rain or shine! For the late-nighters, the celebration continues with “after parties” at area clubs and restaurants. Parking locations are shown on the map. Parking after 5 p.m. is free except at the Historic Parking Garage.

Please contact an individual gallery for their schedule or hours of operation as they may vary.

Georgia Nick GalleryIn the age of CoronaVirus our Artists are bringing us more new work with a drive by drop off! Adriana visited the gallery from her car to deliver this new painting. The Casitllo de San Marcos is an acrylic painting on marble. It is approximately 7" high and 5.5" wide. It is beautiful. It is wired to hang or also looks wonderful on a small easel. Have a great "hump" day evening! GNG
