St. Augustine boasts a talented community of performance artists. There are music venues, theaters, orchestras, ballets, festivals and other events. Popular performers from all over the world come to St. Augustine’s Amphitheater. The community also hosts a series of renowned music gatherings and festivals each year and announcements can be found in the Art Community News section.

Festivals and other events are also covered in our art community news feed. Some of these events include the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival, Romanza Festival, Celtic Festival, St. Augustine Art and Craft Festival, Member Gallery Events and more. The Ancient City boasts dozens of annual festivals celebrating a variety of different cultures, music, food and art.

FIRST FRIDAY ARTWALK

5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
The Art Galleries of Saint Augustine founded and sponsors the award-winning First Friday Art Walk event on the first Friday of every month. Galleries open their doors from 5-9 p.m., offering new art exhibits and lively receptions to the public. Start your FREE self-guided tour at any of the Art Galleries of Saint Augustine galleries. Most galleries are within close walking distance to each other; some are just a short ride away. Hop aboard the FREE Art Walk trains and trolleys that run throughout downtown.

Feast on great arts & eats and the sounds of live music—rain or shine! For the late-nighters, the celebration continues with “after parties” at area clubs and restaurants. Parking locations are shown on the map. Parking after 5 p.m. is free except at the Historic Parking Garage.

Note: THIS SERVICE MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE DURING SOCIAL DISTANCING PRACTICES BY THE SHUTTLE PROVIDERS.

Please contact an individual gallery for their schedule or hours of operation as they may vary.

To all followers and friends of Art Galleries of St. Augustine, I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that I will be leaving AGOSA. I will no longer be posting, commenting, or sharing posts from our Member Galleries and Artists on Facebook.

I created this Facebook page for AGOSA in March 2010 and have been managing it for the past 10 years. I closed my Gallery on Hypolita Street in 2015 but stayed involved with AGOSA managing the Facebook Page. I did so because I genuinely cared about AGOSA and Small Business in St. Augustine and enjoyed being a small part of helping the art community continue to flourish.

As with many other things in 2020 things have changed at AGOSA. I no longer feel a part of AGOSA.

I learned a long time ago not to hang around if you are no longer considered a part of the team. This Page will be transferred to the New AGOSA Board this weekend.

I wish you all the Best, You Will be Missed!

Ray, I haven’t been receiving any of the AGOSA emails or your posts. Is there any way I can have the AGOSA board add me to their email lists since My husband and I are paid up members? Also, would you mind giving me a call? I only have your old phone numbers from when you were still in St. Augustine, and I very much want to talk to you. Thanks so much, Hookey Hamilton (904) 728-4957

Georgia Nick GalleryAdriana Cabezas stopped by yesterday to drop off these two wonderful tiles of St. Augustine icons. The Gate at Bridge and Marine Street is located in the Historic Districe and is a must see and photograph landmark when people visit the oldest city.
Our Lady of La Leche National Shrine at Mission Nombre de Dios is located at the Great Cross just north of downtown St. Augustine. The Shrine and the Great Cross are located on beautiful and serene grounds and they are must visit sight for tourist and locals alike.
These wonderful tiles are ready to hang or can be placed on an easel.
It is going to be a very busy weekend. On Saturday we are celebrating 50 years of Painting St. Augustine by Joe Taylor and Sunday we have a book signing by Linda Brandt and Pirate visit by Captain Mayhem. GNG

Thank you for the share!

Love, love your work, have visited the gallery several times, and hope to be there in November!

Beautiful, Lori!

Georgia Nick GalleryPaulo Jimenez spent Monday at the gallery. He was working on a huge painting. With umbrellas and beach characters enjoying the sun, this painting is a great celebration of summer at the beach! Even though we are beginning to inch into fall. We love having our artists come to the gallery to paint.
Watch for picture of the finished painting. It is going to be a great one. GNG
