Georgia Nick GalleryOn my walk to the car last night I was able to capture another image of beautiful Aviles Street. The Coquina Well - Old Towne Park is a tranquil oasis and a great place to take a few minutes and enjoy the Oldest Street. Located at the corner of Aviles Street and Bravo Lane (Don’t let the street sign fool you - it is Aviles Street) the Old Town Park's Coquina Well is an important archaeological artifact. The park was created to assist in the Wells preservation.
A 1910 excavation of this coquina block well revealed furniture fragments from the 1600s. Most likely the well was built in the early 1600s and was quickly filled about 1670. GNG

Georgia Nick Gallery"By The Grace of God We Will Rise"
A Stained and Painted Glass Window

Designed and Created by
Sister Diane Couture S.S.J.

The Coronavirus pandemic has affected us all in different ways. And... it has certainly changed what is normal for all of us.

Our stained glass artist, Sister Diane visited the gallery yesterday to deliver this special Window. A window that is a message of hope and healing for everyone living through this pandemic.

In November of 2001, the St. Joseph Ministries Architectural Stained Glass Studio was asked to create a stained glass memorial at the National Shrine in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, New York City, to commemorate all those who were lost in the World Trade Center. This is another window of healing.

"By the Grace of God We Will Rise" is displayed on our large light box. Stop by and view it. GNG
